Put all the ingredients except the fish in a resealable plastic bag and shake well to combine. Add the tilapia. Seal and place in the refrigerator for half an hour.
Preheat the grill to a high heat.
Pour the marinade into a saucepan and bring to a low boil. Remove the pan from the heat. Grill the fish for about 3 minutes per side. When the fish turns opaque, remove it from the grill and serve it with the marinade drizzled over the top.
